yes, when I was a kid and didn't have any music of my own. I would sit next to the radio/turntable with my black one-speaker cassette player ready to record it on to a tape....mostly with the dj talking over the beginings and endings of the songs. It's funny cause I had like 4 tapes of this type of mixed music, and to this day I will here a song come  on the radio and it brings me right back to sitting on the floor recording those songs.

mostly things like: Chicago, Kansas REO speedwagon, boston, the cars, Bryan adams, Van Halen , Aerosmith, etc. all from WHEB, WBLM, and WBCN out of Boston
