Did you hear what Richard Childress and Jack Roush said about the Toyota's and JGR ( Joe Gibbs Racing )? What do I think of this? BQH, I give them an applause. Calling out Toyota's bullcrap ( espically Kyle Busch, Toyota, JGR, and all this )!

What do you people think of this?

  1. Personally I think the biggest embarassment should fall on Chevy, Dodge, and Ford - and those teams associated with them. I would be embarassed if we whined to get a competitior artificially knocked down even tho they build the engine to the same rules as the other makers....then to top it off they make up the horsepower lost in less than a month and attempt to cover that fact.....

Other teams/makers need to get off their butt and quit being whiny babies. No wonder those companies are hemorraging money so fast they can't even count it. I mean GM lost 15 Billion in the last quarter and lost 10% of it's stock value in one day alone this week.

It's just another step down the road of no return to SPEC racing.

Cup has a spec bodied car now. Nationwide series is next. Now we are headed to spec engines. Why not just issue crate engines to each team for a fee like some series if they want them to have the same exact horsepower ratings. NASCAR is one step away from having a 100% spec "race" vehicle and then it will be no different from IROC - which has gone the way of the dodo bird for a reason.

What's worse than that? The fact that Tregostevoo thinks NASCAR should do anything to get his favorite driver in victory lane since he has not been a NASCAR fan long enough to know about IROC and what happened to it.

  2. Yes I did. It's a shame established owners must whine and cry. If it weren't for excellent engineering, Toyota wouldn't be where it is today on the street and track. I'm impressed.

I am a die hard MOPAR man, but Toyota did their homework.

  3. Have to agree with treego on why wait so long when we have known this for a long time, as for the other owners coming out and complaining, lots of folks do that once the cheating has been claimed and discovered, Roush has screamed about Toyota forever, so maybe he had a point.....

  4. We knew all season, that they have had horsepower advantages in ALL the series.  Why did NASCAR wait SO long to do anything about it?  Why are they only NOW starting to dyno the cup cars?  I think NASCAR just wanted to avoid the facts for as long as they thought they could get away with ignoring the obvious.  It will be interesting to see how they penalize JGR over "magnetgate" and I can't wait to see how much of an advantage they are getting in the cup series!    I missed the interviews yesterday but will try and catch a replay somewhere, thanks.  These owners have a right to be upset, when their cars have been at a sizable disadvantage in the Nationwide series for most of the year.  NASCAR would not let them use new engines but they knew the Toyota's would have more horsepower from the beginning of the season.  If you were putting out the kind of money that Richard and Jack are, you would have a right to complain about an unlevel playing field also!  Keep the thumbs down coming you spineless worm that blocks me.  If JGR is so good without cheating, why did they have to go and put magnets under their throttle this last week?

edit:  J M, In IROC the cars were identical in the way they were setup but in the cup series the bodies are identical but the Toyota's have an obvious horsepower advantage.  I am not sure if it is a legal or illegal one, I had not accused JGR of cheating but apparently they are not above that LOL

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  5. I'm pretty neutral on this. I'm waiting for compelling reasons to pop up for one view or the other but for now one side seems as whiny as the other.
