Did you watch it?

So today I just happened to turn on TVG or HRTV ((one of them)) and it just so happens that Indian Blessing is running her first 3yo race!

I had butterflies in my stomach! :)

But just for you Indian Blessing fans, ya know, she's undefeated and guess what... after this race...

she STAYED that way!

I was happy :)

She won by 3 lengths.

So did anyone watch it? If so, what are your opinions on Indian Blessing? Could she be another Rags To Riches or Ruffian?

Well, I for sure, think she can be like Rags To Riches.

Your opinion?

  1. I like Indian Blessing a lot.  this race was supposed to be a test for her since they weren't sure about sending her the longer distances but she proved she's talented at whatever they ask her to do.  I added Indian Blessing to my virtual stable today after seeing that race.  And I added Pyro too after his run was absolutely amazing.  He entered the stretch in last place behind a wall of horses, he squeezed outside to find running room and was suddenly storming away convincingly.

As the distances get longer and the year goes on, Indian Blessing is going to have some competition from Proud Spell.  If she was sitting a little closer to the pace, I think she would have had time to run Indian Blessing down... I think they were relying on Indian Blessing runing out of energy from having a speed duel over a longer distance, but that didn't happen... the Proud Spell group won't make the mistake again so Indian Blessing had better be ready.  I do like Indian Blessing though.  I hope she can keep up her winning ways... she's really a joy to watch.

  2. Yeah I watched it... she's so good! She's very speedy, and gets in front and stays there. Though she's ran against fillies only, it will be interesting to see how it is when she runs against competition.

It's early but she's a Derby contender and I think she could pull it off. Ruffian was legendary, but they both have the same running style. Sprinting. Rags to Riches is more of a distance horse. I don't think Rags to Riches is a better horse than Curlin though, I think her Belmont was a fluke.

  3. Indian Blessing sure did run a nice race. Did you see Pyro run today? He went last to first flying down the stretch.

  4. First it wasnt her first 3 yo start; it was her 2nd. Her first was in the Santa Ynez

On May 2, 2008 she will get defeated by Proud Spell or Country Star

  5. I watched the video as I don't get it on tv and she was great.I hope she will have a long career.
