Did you watch the French and Wimbledon Final...?

...I'm looking for serious commentation on this observation. Why doesn't Federer continously chip/slice his backhand to Nadal's feet instead of trying to hit with Nadal on the backhand/forehand exchange? Federer hits right into Nadal's hitting zone when he hits the ball higher, and with Nadal's knee's getting more and more injured, you'd think the great Federer would figure that out...

  1. Good point. The only person who has been successful doing what you say was Boris Becker, and that too when he was younger.

  3. Even if Federer hit slice towards Nadal's feet every time, don't you think Nadal would hit it back easily? I mean, it's hard to control slice with your back hand...but I still believe that Nadal could hit it back. You need luck too. It's hard to control the slice and make it go EXTREMELY low.
