  1. Well kristy, I go for the tigers and no this will not be a biased answer!

Well look at it really, there are over 20 players under the age of 20 and a big leap to a bunch of old guys hitting the 30 or older mark. So with a few players at 22-26 its hard to have those players with a bit of spark yet experience. With alot of the younglings getting games through this year their experience would surely start to gather. A few older guys will retire or get traded so that will effect the team also. Again, there are a number of players injured who effect Richmond's game, i.e simmonds and knobel (ruckman), coughlan and roach (centres) and Hall (defender) All those players mentioned have been out of the squad this entire season and returning next year will show the difference they will make.

I dont want to go on too long though but just one last thing, if you have watched Richmond's game throughout the season, yes you will see them slipping up and making easy errors but you would have also noticed they actually can play football and use the ball well at times. They have nearly come to have defeated strong sides in the AFL but need to work on their full 4 quarters of football.

They will improve much more over the summer break and will return to football in 2008 with alot to prove I am sure.

  2. i'm also a richmond supporter and in all honesty how we do depends on if we get that cruizer ruck guy. if you remember a bit back with geelong, where the side had a young ling, bartel, ablett and johnson they were doing shithouse. now that they've matured theyre killing it.

in theory that should happen for richmond where we might not necessarily win the premiership but at least make 8.

i would say the main reasons why we're ****** is danny frawley destroyed our top draft picks. eg. jay shulz was picked over ebert. 1999 draft pick we picked aaron fiora at 3 and freo got pavlich...

coughlan has been out of it so long that he's going to be so far behind so thats also wasted talent. the ruck situation is kinda unlucky. with adam pattison getting killed week in week out. but the biggest reason why the club is ****** is we have a shithouse admin. by that i mean greg miller is a k**b

  3. the tigers did get done, and yes i watched a bit on fox sports ch 518 its live here in Sydney, they played well but the umps got west coast over the line again, and Richmond look certain to make sure the blues will come last in 2008

  4. Yeah they played well. Eagles didn't really play that well, especially with so many injuries. Richmond played really good to their credit. But I have to admit, I was sitting watching the game with my dad and I actually got kind of bored. I dunno if it was the commentators coz when we were in the car and listening to it on the radio it sounded better.

Anyway next year I think the Tigers might be closing in on the top 8, but with so many teams playing so well it is hard to tell. From what we have seen, you could name like 14 teams that could be in the top 8.

  5. Richmond have been nothing (sorry Tiger barrackers) since the loss in the 1982 grand final. Is help on the way? I wouldn't think so, looks like Kevin Sheedy or Tom Hafey will not be coaching Richmond soon.

Good luck Tigers, the Swans broke their 72 year jinx in 2005. Footscray, Geelong, Melbourne and St. Kilda have had a longer premiership drought than Richmond has. I am afraid Richmond has a long wait. There is always next year will be the hope of Tiger fans again for several years to come.

  6. yeah west coast did that match pretty easily i thought considering no judd or cousins, kerr killed it.. i think richmond will be a bit better next year but still in the bottom 4 or so
