Did your weaned one do this?

Question

He won't drink milk since it's not in the bottle. I've been trying to give him other stuff to get calcium but he's can't eat lettuce yet. I'm doing cheeses, yogurt, and a yogurt juice. Did your baby do this. how long and what method did you get drinking milk again? He's been off the bottle for going on two weeks. Thanks!

All 4 of my kids don't like milk. I think you're fine with the other kinds of calcium.

Oh yes, my daughter did this. I think this is a common reason why some parents keep their kids on bottles for so long. I refused to give in to the bottle, and just kept offering it in a sippy cup. It took a bit of time, but now she has not problem accepting milk this way.

If you are concerned about calcium in the meantime, there are orange juices (old south-frozen)and apple juices that are fortified with calcium. Just be patient, and eventually they will accept milk from the sippy cup.

Try using a soft topped sippy cup. That is what worked for my daughter. I started her out with the cheap Nuby sippy cups with the top that is similar to a nipple. I used those as transition to a regular sippy cup. She did great. Hope this helps.

well my daughter is the same way the only way she drinks milk from a sippy cup is chocolate milk
