France are set to take on Spain in the 2014 World Cup qualifier on October 16, and the Les Bleus’ coach is optimistic about his side’s chances against the reigning World and European champions.
With only one team guaranteed to qualify from the group, the game against La Roja holds extra significance, and Didier Deschamps knows how hard it will be for the men in blue to get a positive result.

"We have to try and cause them problems with the way we use the ball.”
Spain are without several key players, but Deschamps feels that La Roja are still the best team in the world, and France need to be at their best against them.
“Maybe they are missing some players, but they are still the best team in the world without a question.”
