Didier Deschamps claims Luis Suarez made the difference in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Uruguay-c3035 clash - Football News
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 striker,
Luis Suarez, scored the winner in the second-half.
Suarez came on at the start of the second-half and found the net after five minutes with a cool finish. The attacker found the bottom of the net with a diagonal shot and was impressive in the cameo he played
for his side.
Deschamps claimed that Suarez made the difference when he came on in the second-half. The manager cited that the striker’s entry in the second phase changed things for his side and the opposition began to play
some great attacking football. He added that France had a lot of chances but the players failed to convert any of them and ended up on the losing side.
“We had opportunities in the first half to take the lead but then they brought on a player like Suarez. That changed things a lot. Even though he changed things and they some created chances, we kept up our levels
of effort. After the goal they slowed the game down but we still had the opportunity to equalise,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Olympique Marseille boss added that there were a lot of changes at the start of the second-half which may have been the reason for his side to lose. He insisted that Uruguay settled down much quickly
than his side which was the reason they were victorious in the end.
The tactician was all praise for the former Ajax Amsterdam man and admitted that he is certainly one of the best players in the world currently.
“There were a lot of changes made on both sides. It was a pretty even game all things told and one moment from Suarez made the difference,” he concluded.
France will next take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
