Didier Deschamps has officially resigned as coach of Marseille following months of speculation regarding his future at the club. The 43-year-old, who joined Marseille in 2009, has been linked with the France national team job in recent

Deschamps, who was France's captain when they won the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000, has expressed his desire to coach France on several occasions.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is still the first choice of FFF but the 62-year-old has no interest in becoming France’s manager.
While talking to reporters, Wenger dismissed reports linking him with the vacant France’s managerial post and insisted that his future is with Arsenal for a few more years to come.
“There are a lot of names. But me, I will be very busy with Arsenal where my contract still runs for two years.”
Didier Deschamps has a decent record as a manager and would be a popular choice for the post. The former Marseille player enjoyed a successful career as a player and as a coach, his career is also very laudable.
