The France coach is not taking anything for granted and has urged his players not to let their guard down against Georgy Kondratiev’s side
Les Bleus are set to face Belarus in their second match of the 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign at Stade de http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899, and coach, Didier Deschamps wants all three points from that game.
The former Marseille coach, who took the reins of the French national side in the summer following the resignation of Laurent Blanc, hopes to have http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Abou-Diaby-c3453 fit for that up-coming clash.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Belarus-c2849 clash, along with Gael Clichy, who is sidelined with an injury.
"We need a bit of freshness and I have problems with Clichy and Diaby, who are both struggling to be available for the game.”
Talking about their opponents, Deschamps said that he expects visitors to play more defensively and they will make life hard for his side to create goal-scoring opportunities.
However, the coach has asked his players to be more focused and wants more goals from his players this time around. The 43-year-old added that Les Bleus will not take extra risks in the match against Belarus, and will try to catch them on counter.
"I expect a tight, tactical game, and we will try to improve. We will need to find ourselves in front of their goal often. They [Belarus] lost their first game but created a lot of opportunities. We have to force the lock open without taking any unnecessary
risks."
Didier Deschamps will be returning to the famous Stade de France, where he lifted the World Cup in 1998. And the former France international hopes to use those moments as a source of extra motivation against Georgy Kondratiev’s side.
"It's nice to return to Stade de France. Emotionally, it will rejuvenate me a little. I experienced the happiest moment of my career here,"
After getting off to a winning start in the World Cup qualifying campaign, Didier Deschamps would again want maximum points from his side on Tuesday.
