The 43-year-old has warned his players against complacency when the men in blue take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928 in an international friendly on Friday.
Les Bleus are off to a good start in their 2014 World Cup campaign and have collected maximum points from their opening two group games. And before taking on world champions, Spain, in their next qualifier, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 play host to the Samurai Blue this Friday.
While many are suggesting that the game against the Asian giants holds little importance, Didier Deschamps does not agree to such sentiments.
The France coach feels that it’s important for France to win against Japan on Friday and continue their fine run of form. Deschamps added that Japan are a quality side and they will provide a stern test to Les Bleus, and it will help his side a lot as they
prepare to take on La Roja, four days after the Friday game.
Talking to reporters, the former Marseille coach stated that their objective is to win the game and play to their potential on Friday.
“The objective is always the same: to achieve the best possible result before Tuesday's game against Spain.”
The coach added that France won’t make the mistake of taking Japan lightly and it’s an important match for his side, as it will help them regain much needed confidence.
"A friendly must be taken seriously; I do not want us to discard this match. The best way to prepare for Spain is to do things right on Friday,” the coach said at a press conference.
Praising the opposing team, Deschamps said that Japan are blessed with a number quality players and they will make things tough for Les Bleus.
The France coach added that he will give chance to few new players on Friday, who haven’t got much playing time in the previous games.
"Japan have a lot of quality and experience. Some of my players may be given more playing time than in previous selections. I can also deduce more information about my team.”
