The France coach is amazed by the comments made by the Spurs boss regarding Hugo Lloris, but is not worried by the situation at the moment
The Tottenham Hotspur manager surprised many by saying that the French shot-stopper will not be his first-choice goalkeeper at White Hart Lane, and he needs to fight for a place in the starting eleven.
It was expected that the former Lyon player will replace current goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brad-Friedel-c7953, between the sticks, but things haven’t gone the way Lloris wanted.
And the situation has also affected Hugo Lloris’ place in the national setup.
Les Bleus’ coach, Didier Deschamps has made it clear that only those players will be considered for selection, who are playing regularly for their clubs.
When asked about the comments made by Villas-Boas regarding his captain, the former Marseille coach stated that he is aware of the situation, and is surprised by all that.
"I saw what Villas-Boas said. These statements surprised me.”
However, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international has refused to get indulged in the matter. Deschamps believes that it’s still too early to talk about that and he has other problems to deal with.
"If I comment, it will make an echo on the other side of the Channel. I'm not going to create a problem that I don't have today. I have other problems to solve but, if it happens, it deserves consideration.”
The 43-year-old added that the situation is little bit disturbing for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hugo-Lloris-c16408, who is currently with the national side for their up-coming World Cup qualifiers.
"I do not want http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hugo-c16384 to be put in this situation. He did not appreciate the statements.”
However, Didier Deschamps believes that the media has given too much hype to this matter. Hugo Lloris is a world class goalkeeper and he will eventually become the first-choice shot-stopper at White Hart Lane.
"You all know the value of Hugo. He is focused on these two games [for France] and I hope that after it will go well for him."
Hugo Lloris completed his much anticipated move to London earlier this month, for a fee believed to be in the region of 10 million Pounds.
