The France coach is hoping to have the Arsenal man in his squad for the match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Belarus-c2849, after the 26-year-old picked up a minor knock in Les Bleus’ previous game
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Finland-c2898 last week, and the player has also complaint about a muscle injury.
And Les Bleus’ coach, Didier Deschamps, is not much optimistic about Diaby’s chances of getting back to full fitness in time for France’s second game of the 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign against Belarus.
Talking to reporters, the 43-year-old revealed that the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 midfielder hasn’t trained at all in last couple of days, and he is a major doubt for the up-coming qualifier. The coach added that Diaby knows his body well and he will decide whether he can
play or not.
“He didn't train yesterday, or today. He knows himself well.”
However, Deschamps would not like to take a risk of playing an unfit player, especially when he has abundance of quality midfielders at his disposal.
The former Marseille coach can use Newcastle United’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yohan-Cabaye-c37423 as a box-to-box midfielder, or Toulouse's Etienne Capoue could be used in absence of the Gunner’s midfielder.
The former France international said that Diaby will undergo several physical and medical tests today in order to prove his fitness. However, if the Gunner starlet fails to pass those test, he will not be considered for the selection.
“If he doesn't have a complete range of movement for the medical test today, then I certainly don't imagine we'll see him on the field against Belarus."
While talking about his strategy against Belarus, the France coach revealed that he intends to use Franck Ribery in more advanced position.
"I've spoken to Franck about what I want from him in this position [on the left of attack]. He's used to playing from deep, but I'd prefer to see him operating in the last 30-40 metres, because he has this capacity to accelerate and beat his man or provoke
the foul."
France take on Belarus in their next match of the World Cup qualifying campaign, at Stade de France.
