The France coach has asked for rapid improvement from his side, after Les Bleus’ managed to beat http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Finland-c2898 1-0 in their opening game of the World Cup qualifiers
The 43-year-old is satisfied with his side’s victory against Huuhkajat, but feels that there is still room for improvement.
France managed to find the back of the net only once in the game and Deschamps wants more goals from his side.
While talking to reporters, the former Marseille coach stated that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 started the game well and they were in complete control of the match. Finland were more defensive in approach and they hardly caused Les Bleus any kind of troubles in the first half.
“We controlled things pretty well. They almost never caused us any danger in the first half but we got the result on the board.”
Deschamps added that their opponents made life difficult for them with their defensive tactics but his players didn’t lose their cool.
Playing away from home is always a difficult task but players showed good commitment and played with right kind of attitude and they got the positive result in the end.
"It's never easy winning away from home, especially against a team that sat a lot deeper than I thought they would. We showed the right attitude out on the pitch.”
The French coach stated that there are a lot of positives to be taken from that game. However, Deschamps is not happy with the fact that there were not many players in the box to receive the ball.
The 43-year-old, who took the reins of the French national side in the summer following the resignation of Laurent Blanc, has asked his players to do more if they want to qualify for the 2014 World Cup.
”We did some good things tonight, but what I regret the most, and I've told the players and will tell them again and again, is that we need players in the box when we're in a position to cross the ball."
France will host http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Belarus-c2849 in their second match of the World Cup qualifying campaign, and Deschamps would want a much improved performance from his side in that game.
