Drogba has lost his automatic place in the team ever since Torres landed at Stamford Bridge, but he insists that the signing had not upset him.
“There will always be talk about my future, I keep saying it, I'm here and I'm giving everything and it's normal that the club wants to buy another striker because we are ambitious and we want to win the Champions League,” he said.
He added that the inclusion of Torres in Chelsea is a normal transfer routine matter and does not warrant him leaving a club where he is considered a ‘hero’.
Drogba has not scored in his last nine games; he also failed to hit the nets in Chelsea’s stalemate against FC Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League game.
Drogba says that Chelsea are concentrating really hard for the remainder of the season; their main focus is to qualify for the next 2011-12 UEFA Champions League. He is confident that the Blues are in a fine form, but reckons they have better chances if
they do not face off against an English side in the quarters.
“There's a lot of good teams there, so it's difficult to say, 'I want to avoid Manchester United', and then you play Barcelona, or avoid Barcelona and then you play http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan. They're all big teams, so we'll see what we get,” he said.
Chelsea are currently fourth in the Premier League with fifty-one points and fighting for a place in next season’s Champions League. Also in the running are quarter-finalists Totenham Hotspur.
