Didier Konan Ya to miss out Hamburg’s opening game against Hoffenheim – Bundesliga news
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Konan-Ya-c11047 has been ruled out of the club’s opening game against Hoffenheim. The two sides are due to lock horns on Saturday, August 6, at AWD-Arena. Konan Ya suffered an injury during the club’s pre-season game and was already a
doubtful starter for Saturday’s fixture.
Hannover coach Mirko Slomka has confirmed about the player’s absence from the game and would consider the services of one of the two strikers, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jan-Schlaudraff-c17801.
The manager mentioned that the player is very important to the club’s cause and it is not worth taking any risk against the Ivorian. He instead decided to lend some more time to the player before being called back into the squad. Hannover have important
games queued up and Konan would definitely be required by the Reds.
In an interview to the club’s website, Slomka added, "Looking at the games coming up, we will refrain from using Didier against Hoffenheim. With his dynamism and eye for goal, he will certainly be very important for us this season. We just need to have a
little patience, he is improving from one training session to the next and will soon be 100 percent."
Hannover finished fourth on the league table last season and earned a place in the UEFA Europa League. The club fell five points short of gaining a UEFA Champions League play-offs round berth.
The Reds manager has expressed confidence in the abilities of the rest of the team and has urged them to fight harder and to finish at least one step ahead compared to the last season.
The player, on the other hand, was utterly disappointed on having to miss out on the club’s opening game of this term. He vowed to get back to full fitness and repeat the feats of the last season by scoring more goals.
The Ivorian joined Hannover in 2009 and has 23 goals under his belt until now from 53 league games. He made his Ivory Coast debut in 2006 and so far has three goals from six games.
