Didn't Kobe stepped it up big against Spain or what?

I was pretty nervous when Spain cut the lead to just 2 pts in the 4th quarter when Kobe, like so many times he's done in his career, switched to another gear. His clutch performance helped team USA get the W. Team USA could easily lost the game without Bryant.

He had a good game.  I think he might have cracked my list of top 50 players of all time.  This list is very fluid and is always changing, so I can't guarantee he will remain there.  But good job Kobe, and congrats to Team USA!

absolutely-- the US would not have won the gold but for kobe. He was brought on that team for pressure situations and having him on the roster paid off in the fourth quarter against spain.  He even said that coach K went to him in the fourth and said "take over".  No one, not even D-wade was stepping up in the fourth when spain cut the lead down to 2.  If Kobe didnt hit runner, 2 assists, 3 in the corner then have that big 4 point play to seal the deal USA would have been getting the silver.

Kobe came up huge. He made almost all the big plays down the stretch. Spain had all the momentum when Kobe made that 4 point play. I don't think they would have won without him because Wade was the only other guy playing well.
