Question:

Didn't Nascar make Toyota use a smaller tapered spacer than the other makes in the NNS?

Fontana is a horsepower track like Michigan isn't it? Didn't Nascar basically dismantle the #18 NNS team for cheating? How did they take the pole by over 3/10s and lead all but 4 laps of a 150 lap race? I just don't understand it!! Color me stupid!!

PEACE!

  1. It's obvious when Kyle's car pulls away from the rest of the field on a restart (as was the case at Fontana) that he still has an advantage. His car was faster. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

As far as dismantling the 18 team? All they did is make the "public" believe they tried to keep the playing field level. It's obvious that NASCAR let's Kyle slide. Look at his fines for the contact after the Bristol race. THERE WERE NO FINES. Anybody else would have been fined and placed on probation for the remainder of the year. The fine for throwing a helmet is somewhere around 10,000 dollars and that was a few years ago. Fines were supposed to progressive. Not in Kyle's case.

You can never make me believe that NASCAR isn't looking the other way when it comes down to Kyle. They still have an advantage. Driver is not the reason a car pulls away from the rest of the pack. Power is...!!! Carl has an advantage also.

  2. Yes they did, but it's the driver that matters, it's Kyle Busch!!!

Congrats to Jason Ratcliff for preparing that car to be so fast, hopefully he enjoyed the win at the shop.

  3. Jr. fan right???    You "understand it" you just don't want to admit it.  Even after it was proven that Toyotas don't have more horsepower than other makes and even though Toyota was made to tone down the hosepower that they did have and even though the magnets had NOTHING to do with the wins and had nothing to do with Kyle.....people just can't get over the fact that Kyle is a talented driver.

  4. Good driver might be the answer......

  5. Yes they did.

It wasn't the car, it was the driver. It was all Kyle!!

  6. They haven't caught TOYOTA or JGR drivers of cheating yet...they will sooner of later and they won't like it.

    LOL.

I know I can't stand this year...seeing the 18 car win almost every type of track.  It's madness...hopefully we will be seeing a Chevy in victory lane soon...they really need to win some races.  It's been Toyota and Ford lately.  Dodge seems to be out of the running, they hardly won anything prestigious except the Daytona 500.

  7. yes, yes, and yes. do what they can to try to prove it's "the car and not the driver" and it keeps backfiring. boy takes a "horsepower-handicapped" car and puts it on the pole at a track where horsepower matters, then he and his "second string" crew (or at least big portions of it) mop the floor with the competition all night. they should have never implied that the orp win was expected because it's not a "horsepower" track - it only served to put another chip on his shoulder to prove he could win anywhere. i hope nobody mentions he hasn't won a cup race at richmond yet (he has two busch wins there) - he might just have to go get another first, in more ways than one.

i didn't hear it last night, but i'm waiting - how soon before they make a rule stating that "any car operated by a driver with 15 wins or more across all three series must have an even more restrictive tapered spacer than all the rest." of course, they couldn't just say "whatever car or truck kyle is driving" because that would be unfair, but with the rule as written above nascar could say it is there "to level the playing field by leveling the talent" and that they aren't singling kyle out - anyone who has fifteen wins or more would be subject to the same rule...

    ;-)

or will they just give him a magnet and force him to put in on the throttle stop so he can never hold it wide open? interesting choices nascar has available to them...

    ;-)
