those cars will do that sometimes,its a theft deterrent ,but it isn't a very god idea ,a lot of people do lock them self out,i had one in the shop working on it and it locked me out of with the keys still in it,good luck.

The answer is a simple yes. I don't know why they made it like that , but they did .I know of many people that has locked there self out of there car because of this. I help a friend out that has a car lot and we made it a habit to roll the windows down some before we get out of a car.
