Didn't pay lightrail ticket???Got caught?

My sister forgot to get her ticket stamped and got on the light rail. She got checked and she had to go to court. So now she buys the monthly bus pass, but about 2 days ago she got caught again, but this time she dropped her pass in my car. I was wondering, what will happen to her in court now as her punishment?

If she can show the pass (that she bought earlier) then that is proof she just forgot and there will be no (or light) punishment.

When she buys her monthly bus pass, tell her to get a receipt which should show the date she bought it...if she does have to go to court, she should take her pass, also take the dated receipt to show that at the time of her being 'Caught' that her pass was active and that she dropped it in your car, left it at home (accidently, of course)...she might get a reduced fine maybe...then tell her to put it into her 'WALLET' where it should be at all times anyway...You never know when it will be useful and she won't get stuck again...
