I got a speeding ticket 64 in 40. I went to the first court case plead not guilty and they gave me another date to come back and talk to the D.A. I did and they dropped it to a parking ticket, with $140 fine and driving school. I completed driving school and the court told me that if I payed the fine by Aug. 27th I would not have to come back to court, but if I didn't pay the fine by then to show up in court on the 27th with the money... I did neither.... I have been so messed up from Post Par tum Depression since I had my daughter Aug. 15th.... DO you think this will make a difference to them are they going to reinforce the speeding ticket? Or add more fines or both or what? And should I just send them $order for the fine or call them and let them know the situation before hand? Any advice is appreciated!

  1. The court won't buy your excuse so don't bother using it. You now have a bench warrant out for you. Should you get stopped for another violation, you can be arrested. Call the court for info on how to handle this.

  2. Your gone Brook! I can hear the siren's coming for you now.

  3. you will find that in  NY most courts don't really care what your excuses are. They usually will just report the failure to DMV who will issus a suspension order  on your DL.. So you will be out there cruising down Queens Blvd some day and stumble into a traffic check and end up walking home.  Seems stupid but yu are probably now a criminal
