Pretty sure you're right about that, but what about Joe Bugner, he took Ali and then Frazier all the way in 12 round fights, lost both fair and square fairly easily, but then had another fight with Ali, over 15 rounds, that went all the way too.

he also beat cooper in a 12 rounder, by 1/4 of a point, where the ref was the only scorer, do you think that didn't cause some shite.

Cooper went ALL THE WAY .......................To the 5th round.  In the rematch he went  ALL THE WAY to the 6th.

ali dominated the first fight 'till he got caught with that famous left hook toward the end of  the forth round, an extra minute or so rest may or may not have given ali valuable time to recover.......ali stopped cooper in the fifth.

ali also dominated the rematch, which was for the world title, and cooper was stopped in the sixth with a badly cut eye.
