he did in the parallel universe that donna created by going back in time and turning right instead of left- in which case she never met the doctor and he died under the thames

however donna destroyed the parallel world and in the real world the doctor is alive and kicking so fear not! :)

Yes, but in a parallel universe which started when Donna turned right instead of left. She got herself to turn left again by getting herself knocked down by a lorry which caused a traffic jam the Donna in the car commented on the scream.
