  1. If you live anywhere in Ohio, You can join the junior olympics volleyball league(JO). Search the internet for leagues that you can join Get your skill up and try out next year.

  2. The first year I tried out for high school volleyball they had cut the JV team out of the budget so there was only varsity.  I thought I was going to make the varsity team as a freshman but the coach did not take any of the freshman trying out... I was really mad at first and sad. Then I joined a club team which is a lot of fun!! You meet a lot of great people and you get to travel plus play volleyball.

Try talking to the coach.... Maybe they just made an honest mistake. Try asking things that you can work on to make the team next year. And maybe ask if you can practice with the team sometimes to stay in shape

    Good luck!!

  3. wow that's tough

if you really love to play volleyball then you wouldn't want to quit and if you have playing for three years then you are probably really good so i wouldn't quit. just pick yourself up and try again. until the next tryout i would probably become friends with someone who did make the team and see if they can help you out

    good luck!!

  4. You know what keep practicing and show them they made a mistake!

Or you can  move to CT and be my beach volleyball partner..cause I really need one ahhh!...and we can go to the London Olympics and kick some ****..

Don't feel bad or depressed if you are meant to a great volleyball player and with hard work...your time will come :)

  5. this kinda happened at our tryouts...one freshman girl who was really tall and pretty good came and tried out. everyone knew she was going to make a team but she ended up making varsity. everyone was super shocked and no one liked her.  she also pretty much stole a spot from a junior who was a much better player than her, and who had already pretty much landed a spot on varsity. but instead she moved down to jv.

i would go talk to the coach and tell her how you feel... try playing volleyball somewhere else for now. im sorry i know how you feel!!!

  6. u either had a bad day,

    the coach is an idiot,

or ur not as good as u say.

    either way.

theres always something to improve on.

i suggest practicing everything u already know and improve on that.

    if u r a senior...

and want to recognized by colleges.

trying out for a local aau or courthouse team (if one is available) would get u very far.

  7. That is really sad, but maybe you could ask the coach if they need a team manager so that next year she will know that you are a very dedicated person and still want to be involved in the sport and the team. Being the team manager often means that you would practice with the team learn the drills but then when game time came around your would cheer on the team, keep score, bring in the bags of balls, and the med kit. You wouldn't get any in game playing time but u would improve and stay active because you were involved with the practices.

    Good Luck.

  8. Sometimes coaches are biased. If people have 'connections' they will make the team, even if they don't play as good as you. Tough, but I've seen it happen before, but in soccer.

  9. To be honest, you can't be that good if you didn't make the team. It's great that friends tell you your good, but it's what the coaches see and not what your friends tell you. You need to work harder in all areas, hitting, serving, passing, work on your vertical, if your really tall then that will make a big difference. Don't be depressed, get mad work your tail off and Next year you'll make the team.

  10. When trying out, people don't usually make it in the first time. Thats what happened to me. I didn't make it in the first time. & The second time when I tried out. I didn't make it in either. :( But then, later on, the next week. The coach came to me & ask if I still wanted to join. I guess it was just pure luck. So, good luck to you. Try again next year. & Don't give up! (:

  11. That sucks! i know when i tried out in 7th grade i didnt make it but what happened was my coach asked me if i wanted to be manger and then if somebody quit, didnt make grades or anything i would get to be on the team. Well somebody said it was to much work so i  got to be on the team.  What i would do is ask if they needed a manger or something like that and then its high school so somebody will surly not make grades and you'll get to play. Good luck
