Fairly rare but not unheard of.  I have two friends who started having s*x when they were 12-13 so have never had to m********e.  And one of them insists he can ejaculate while urinating, so never needs to m********e even when his girlfriend isn't around.  Usually, without any other outlet, boys learn to m********e without any help just from the pressure their hormones cause.  Better late than never, I guess.

I was the same way, it wasn't until I was 21 and in a human sexuality class that it occurred to me that I could give myself an o****m.  Not that weird, really.

I think it's good because I think you probably appreciate your body more now than you would have at a younger age.  Too many kids get turned loose in the candy store at too young of an age.  I think you'll be better off for having waited, regardless of the reasons.
