alright guys I screwed up today at work before my boss was my boss we were friends now that my boss is my boss Ive been a bit timid around him, yes we talk but not like we use to I dont feel as open to talk like I use to I told him and he said he didnt know I felt that way.... I feel like I should do whatever the boss said, even if it means being the "yes" man... he disagrees... but thats not where I messed up... we were having fun and talking but the major boss(which is not him) wanted us to do some work... my boss (who I was talking to) didnt want to do the work right away and that he thought I was passive and being a pushover (because I was trying to be plaful) I said thats bitchassness (I didnt really know what the meaning was at the time and that was the mean), he thought I was saying he was acting like a ***** or a ***** so he was mad... after that I tried to explain to him that I wasnt calling him a ***** at all what I meant was we shouldve got on the project as soon as possible

  1. It depends upon whether things are alright now or whether the air still neds clearing. Are things back to normal now or is he treating you differently? Try not to be too paranoid about it... maybe he was just having a bad day. Misunderstandings happen all the time, we all make mistakes and I'm sure yours won't count against you. Perhaps he's feeling just as bad about over-reacting!

If he's still being 'off' with you, I'd just go to him and apologise personally, explain that you were just messing about and were not being serious - just have a chat with him to clear the air, I'm sure you'll feel much better.

    Hope this helps.

  2. You both have said enough. Too much talk and so little professionalism. Now you can be the adult and great your boss the usual way (which I hope is Hi) and move on. If your boss, who by the way is not very professional, can not move on then you should. This all got way out of hand. You already apologized. Just be pleasant and decent. I bet you'll both be feeing better very soon.

  3. you should go up to him and apologize to him personally
