No.  In those days it simply wasn't possible to call back a sniper, and there would have been no "higher up" near an allied soldier who would call off such an attempt.  It is pretty well documented that no armed allied soldier ever sighted Hitler.  There was an assassination attempt by members of the German High Command, but it failed.
