Wolfsburg attacking midfielder Diego has confirmed that Atletico Madrid have not made an official approach for his services, and claimed that he wants to focus on helping his side improve their league form. The Bundesliga outfit
is struggling for form this season and is currently 16th in the league table.
The attacker’s future at Die Wolfe was expected to be over after he had a bust-up with then-trainer Felix Magath, and as a result he was loaned out to the Spanish club last season. He was hoping to move elsewhere in the summer
transfer window following Magath’s admission that the player has no place in his team.
However, the creative midfielder was unable to find a new club and was forced to return to the German side. Moreover, the former coach was sacked only recently and Diego has a new desire to help the Wheel Covers improve their results.
He also stated that he is not looking for a switch to Atletico, as he had no approach from them.

"I am at Wolfsburg and very grateful for my situation. I just hope I have a good season," he mused.
