The Paris Saint-Germain defender has found himself confined to the bench at Parc des Princes, and has failed to make a cut in PSG’s 25-man squad for the Champions League
The Uruguay international has lost his place in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting eleven following the arrival of several new players at the Paris club this season.
And to make things worse, the 31-year-old has not been included in Les Parisiens’ 25-man squad for the European club competition.
However, the experienced centre-back, who joined the Paris revolution in 2011 for a fee believed to be in the region of 3 million Euros, is not worried about the situation.

Lugano, who earns 4 million Euros per season, said that his contract with the French giants is extremely good and he is happy to stay few more years in Paris.
"It is a challenge that I have taken on, and there is also the fact that my contract is really good," the 31-year-old told reporters.
The former Fenerbahce player stated that he loves to play in the French league and he is enjoying his time here. Ligue 1 is one of the best leagues in world and Lugano does not want to depart quite yet.
