However, things haven’t exactly gone according to plan and are not looking up either.
Following a 2-0 win over Dijon back in October last year, Lugano has lost his status of an automatic partner for Sakho.
But let it be said, if he has not yet truly demonstrated his renowned qualities of a leader in the field, Lugano knows that he is not up to the level that made him one of the best defenders in the 2010 World Cup in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/South-Africa-c757.
While talking to L’Equipe, Lugano said that he will not give up hope and added that he still needs time to adapt to Ligue 1 football.
Lugano also said that he has always been a loyal player.
“I am a loyal player and I will give my life for the team. When I arrived here, some people probably had negative preconceptions about me,” Lugano said while talking about his arrival at the club.
Under contract at the club until 2014, Lugano is certainly looking to settle down at the club as quickly as possible. Though the defender acknowledges the fact that he has not done well in the first half of the campaign, the former Fenerbahce man also said
that he is happy with life at Paris and is keen on learning more about the French culture.
“I came to Paris to enjoy the club and its project, and allow my family to enjoy life here, to discover another culture. It’s impossible not to be happy in Paris.”
With the second half of the campaign about to kick off, Lugano knows that he needs to work extra hard in order to earn his place in the PSG starting XI under new boss, Carlo Ancelotti.
