Diego Magdaleno, NABF super featherweight champion, found his way to stop multi-time title challenger Antonio Davis in the fourth. The fight between the two was held at the Texas Station Casino in Las Vegas, Magdaleno, on past Saturday night.
Diego now stands with 23 wins, 0 losses and 8 knockouts in his portfolio, whereas Antonio Davis stands with 29 wins, 7 losses and 14 knockouts.
By the fourth round, Magdaleno was already in control but could not find a way to stop Davis. However, during the fourth round, Magdaleno was lucky to find his way to unleash a chain of brutal punches. Davis, who appeared to be shocked and defenceless to
Diego’s spree of punches, showed signs of weakness, just when the referee decided to end the show.
Jose Benevidez beats Javier Loya
In event, welterweight fighters Jose Benevidez and Javier Loya went head to head with each other. Both the fighters were unbeaten. Unfortunately, Javier was the one whose streak ended at the hands of Jose. The latter now stands with 16 wins, 0 losses and
13 knockouts, whereas Loya stands with 7 wins, 1 loss and 6 knockouts. Jose Benevidez knocked out Loya in the fourth round. Referee Tony Weeks found it mandatory to stop Jose from thrashing Loya on the ropes, and so the fight was stopped.
Mike Lee knocks out Tyler Seever
Mike Lee defeated Tyler Seever with a second round technical knockout. The first round went subtle, but the second round was completely dominated by Lee. A ferocious right hand from Mike Lee of Notre Dame made Seever hit the mat. Even though Seever beat
referee’s count, he was still staggering in the ring. Lee found it the opportune moment to strike his opponent hard with a combination of punches, making him hit the canvas once again. Considering Seever’s inability to defend himself, the fight was stopped
in the second round by Referee Russell Mora.
Giovani Santillan beats Joaquin Chavez
In the super lightweight division. Giovani was able to stand by his words by knocking out Joaquin Chavez in the first and second round, earning a unanimous decision win with scores of 40-34.
