Argentine legend and current Al-Wasl manager, Diego Maradona has gone on to reveal that his team will not be looking to make a move for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez in the January transfer window.
Tevez, who has built a reputation for being a goal scoring machine in recent years, has often been hailed and applauded by Maradona. The former player and current manager believes that Tevez is amongst the best players in the world and has admitted to him
being a crucial part of the Argentine national team.
Nonetheless, this goal scoring machine is currently sitting in hot water. The forward was asked to come on as a second half substitute against Bayern Munich, but the striker refused to comply with his manager’s demands, as he said that he wasn’t going to
be going on. The player later claimed that there was some loss of date, due to misunderstandings between the two, but http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 believes the forward’s career at Manchester City is over.
Many believed that Maradona would be looking to snap up Tevez and bring him to Al-Wasl, but the manager has confirmed that due to some financial restrictions, he won’t be able to land the player.
Maradona, when talking about Tevez and the reason for him not being able to join him at Al-Wasl is quoted to have said: "Tevez is very expensive”
"He will cost a lot of money and right now we have a budget for around five per cent of the fee he commands."
At the moment, a number of other clubs are being linked as possible destinations for the twenty seven year old striker. Brazilian club http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Corinthians-c38855 have reignited their interest in the player and Paris Saint-Germain are also reported to be interested in landing
the player. At the same time, Spanish side Real Madrid might just be tempted to test their luck over the player and many believe http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 are going to be looking to make a very shocking move for the Argentine in the January transfer window.
