Diego Milito and Diego Forlan decline invitation from Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo
Inter Milan striker Diego Milito and Atletico Madrid star http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-c11058 Forlan have decided against joining the cash-laden Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain, after Leonardo, the director of football at the club, had personally offered the duo a place at Parc des
Princes.
Despite their recent abundance in wealth, following the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254 and the
Real Madrid legend http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Raul-c30652 fill in the role, but was unsuccessful in going beyond the first step.
According to French publication, Les Parisien, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-Milito-c11166 rejected the offer from his former coach as the Argentine international would like to extend his stay at San Siro. The 32-year-old striker was plagued by injuries for most part of the last season
and failed to appear in more than 23 Serie A games.
Uruguayan striker Diego Forlan, meanwhile, has revealed his interest in joining http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan rather than the Parisian club. According to Italian sports daily, La Gazzetta dello sport, the Uruguayan international has already been offered an amount within the
region of 5 million Euros and the transfer has entered the final stages.
The only player yet to respond to the offer from Leonardo is the Real Madrid superstar, Kaka. The Brasília-born midfielder has already been linked with English Premier League sides http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and Tottenham Hotspur as well as Italian giants Inter Milan.
However chances are very slim for the Brazilian international to accept his fellow South American’s proposal as I Nerazzurri are featuring in the UEFA Champions League this season, something Les Parisiens cannot offer to the 29-year-old playmaker.
Leonardo, director of football at Parc des Princes, will be looking for a positive response from his fellow countryman as only seven days are left in the closure of the transfer window. The 41-year-old is desperate to sign another striker before the end
of the transfer window and a negative response would mean that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 will have to make do with the players he has at his disposal.
