The Nerazzurri striker is hoping that his team continues the consistent form from recent days once the season resumes after the winter break.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-Milito-c11166, wishes to see the outfit resume the second half of the season from where they left off. The Nerazzurri had a rough start to the ongoing 2011/12 season which led to the sacking of the former coach, Gian Piero Gasperini,
and the arrival of Claudio Ranieri as the new tactician at San Siro.
With Ranieri in charge, Inter have managed to win six of their last seven Serie A games, reaching the 5th spot in the league from a lowly 16th. Now the men in black and blue jerseys are keen to return to the field with the same consistency
after the winter break ends.
Milito was recently talking to Sky Sport Italia where he expressed his ambitions for the second half of the season. The striker said:
“We're pleased, especially with the wins we got at the end which enabled us to round off 2011 in the best way possible. We're happy, but we have to keep pedalling hard.
“We hope that 2012 will be even better. The important thing now is getting the New Year off on the right foot. We have lots of games to play, but we're also full of confidence.”
It is expected that the Nerazzurri would be looking to make some changes in the squad during the winter transfer window. However, Milito did not comment on the subject leaving it for the club officials to answer and insisted that the current squad is worthy
of challenging any club.
“The transfer market? That's a question you should ask the club, all I can say is that we have a great squad and we can still challenge on all fronts,” concluded Milito.
Inter are currently playing in three competitions: Italian Serie A, Coppa Italia and the UEFA Champions League, but the striker is confident that the former treble winners will not disappoint.
