The former Real Zaragoza forward has complimented Destro on his abilities and feels he would enjoy great success with Inter; eyes another season at the club.
The Argentinean was Inter Milan’s top scorer last campaign, despite his injury lay-offs during the season. This has been the first time in a couple of seasons that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-Milito-c11166 has started from the start of the pre-season training. The striker felt that
this was a good sign and that he would build on it in the upcoming season.
Mattia Destro left a good impression on the former Genoa hit man, and he lauded the Siena man on his set of skills, stating that he is a complete striker. Destro was at Inter during 2010 and Milito saw his immense potential back then, and went on to comment:
“You could already see back then that he was a great attacker, complete, technically good, and that was confirmed by his last campaign at Siena. He also still has plenty of time ahead of him to improve.”
The former Primavera striker is now co-owned by Genoa and Siena. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 had sold the striker to Genoa, after which Destro went on a loan to Siena. A clause in the loan stipulated that the club would be able to exercise an option to buy 50 percent of the player’s
rights. Genoa felt that the Robur would not be exercising the option, and a deal for him to go to Inter was on the cards.
Siena exercised their option which complicated matters, as Juventus are also in the hunt for the striker, and Antonio Conte has good relations with the Robur, after helping them gain promotion last year.
Destro scored 12 goals in the Serie A, and has also been targeted by AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603.
There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the striker’s future, however, one thing is for certain that Milito would be at the club for some time. The Argentinean went on to comment:
“It’s nice to hear that I’m untouchable. I’ve always said that it’s magnificent here. My teammates, the club and the fans make me feel loved.”
Milito top scored for Inter with 24 goals in the Serie A last term.
