The Atletico tactician has stated that he really admires the work done by Los Blancos manager but wants to pull one over his counterpart at the weekend’s clash.
In wake of the recent criticism coming the Portuguese’s way, the Atletico Madrid manager has voiced his support for the Real tactician and is adamant that Mourinho is the right man for Los Blancos at this time.
“I have admiration for Mourinho," the 42-year-old told reporters.
Ahead of the highly anticipated Madrid derby, Jose Mourinho has been singled out for the current champion’s recent failure to cope up with the pace of fellow title contenders, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and Atletico Madrid.
Real find themselves a massive 11 points behind current standard setters, Barcelona, and even trail their capital neighbours by a 8 points.
Simeone had views of his own and went on to praise Mourinho and stated that he is one of the trainers that he would like to learn a lot from.
"He is a winner and has shown that world-wide. I went to see him one week when he was at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567. He is a trainer that I like," he said
The Atletico manager also stated that he has full belief in his side’s ability and is looking forward to grab a result at the Bernabeu over the weekend.
“We know the people are excited and we will not move away from their feelings, but we are facing a powerful team - the reigning champion.”
The Atletico manager recorded that he fully realises the threat posed by Real’s players, as all of them are top notch and have the abilities to give any defence in the world, a very uncomfortable ride.
“I look at our opponents as the players they have, and not their position in the table. I hope our team will surprise in the first 15-20 minutes.”
Simeone also voiced his view on his team and stated that his team does not over rely on star striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276. He also went on to admit that the Colombian is one striker that any team in the world would like to have amongst their squad.
Both the teams are coming head to head on December 1 at the Santiago Bernabeu to set up a mouth watering clash.
