Diesel Engine options for a 26ft catamaran?

Question

Does anyone know of an alternative to having a petrol outboard in a central cockpit of a catamaran? Are there diesel outboards out there and how much do they cost and how much do they weigh? Weight is a big consideration on a catamaran!

The catamaran is 26ft and has a central cockpit which currently houses a 9.9hp outboard in a well. A diesel alternative would be desirable as carrying large quantities of petrol onboard a small catamaran is a little scary!!

Yanmar,Perkins,and Ruggerini all make diesel outboards,though none as small as 10 h.p. and the ruggerini are a bit agricultural. All of them are expensive ,compared to 4 stroke outboards

We have Yanmar Diesels on our Catamaran and its the only way to go, as outboards are useless in some sea conditions, coming in and out of the water all the time.

Yanmar makes a "saildrive".  It is like an IO for sailboats

I don't think that there are many disel outboads. I was able to find this one website. Yanmar is a well known name in marine engines.
