Diesels are better than prius.....?

Question

Why do some people like prius and say they are good as they dont have petrol they are electric,..they are electric motors and you have to have petrol for them, diesel cars are more better and economical

Prius are Hybrids.... Gas/electric or for you Petrol/electric :P

in the states, prius is cheaper, more economical, and get better mpg, and dont cost much to fill up

diesel gets good mpg, but cost a ***** load to fill up.  

you can make "bio diesel" but is a radical process of setting up the engine to run of oil from fast food and fryers etc...

If the Prius was less economical than your Golf, you weren't driving it right.

I average 50 mpg in the summer in my Prius.  That is very comparable (if not more) than what you get in your Diesel.

Not sure what gas is where you live, but the gas used for a Prius where I am is $3.74.  Diesel is $4.41.
