  1. If you absolutely must choose between one  or the other then it would be exercise. The reason is that while you're losing weight you will also be getting physically fit. Also you can safely lose more weight exercising than by dieting.


  2. diet. unless you exercise an insane amount, you cant lose weight with just exercise.

  3. Simple... Combine the two!

    It is all about INPUT (-) subtract OUTPUT.

    If you lower your calorie intake (DIET) and raise the amount of calories you burn(EXERCISE) the results are going to be phenomenal.

    From my experience, DIETING is tough, so set short term goals(go on and off of difficult/easy diets).

    Exercising is easy/addictive... once you get the ball rolling, your time in the gym will be your favorite time of the day, it makes you so happy.

    Do both... but enjoy life too... set short term goals and don't be discouraged if you don't drop 15 lbs. in your first week.  

    I love the gym... that and Pizza(my downfall).
