Diet softdrink?

Can you drink too much diet softdrink - or are there long term repacussions? What if you substitute it for drinking water?

  1. Science is so far inconclusive on the long term effects of excessive consumption of diet soft drinks. But needless to say, there are plenty of low calorie not-too-sweet drinks that are known to be healthy and safe. I prefer seltzer with either orange juice or a bit of lemon or lime juice, myself.


  2. Long term is said to give you cancer, but yeah right. I believe you are fine to drink whatever you want. Everything seems to cause cancer and other ailments. Meat, poultry, etc etc.

    So, DRINK UP!! You do need to drink 8 glasses of water daily, this includes tea and coffee and water made drinks.

  3. Most diet sodas have aspartame in it, which is said to cause cancers and nasty things.

    It's just as bad for you as regular sodas though. :]

    I drink one or two sodas a day max, and replace everything else with Crystal Lite and Lipton water flavors.
