whatr is the diff between a 300 win and a 300 win mag. What doe magnum do? make it shoot further?

  1. Ditto to de witt, but I'll also add that yes, in the case of the 300 winnie mag, it shoots farther and faster (faster, therefore farther) than the 300 winchester. They are the same bullet, but the magnum uses more gunpowder. Therefore, it kicks much more.
