  1. George W has given a speech recently in which he said that CO2 causes global warming.  In the same speach he said that many people believe that humans don't have a significant effect on the climate.

There's something for everyone there.  He's giving tacit support to addressing CO2 emissions while acknowledging that a lot of experts don't believe that CO2 has a significant effect on the climate.

  2.   Both sides do not agree that global warming is happening or caused by humans. There are some politicians on both sides that buy into it with more on the Dem. side. But that's just politicians.

And the entire scientific world does not agree on this issue.

In fact the ones who do admitted in early 2008 that the model they use to determine that global warming is real is a flawed model but they said they have to use it becasuse it's the only one they have.

As for the world of science there is only a concensus that it's occurring, there is no scientific proof, it's a concensus.

Please try to find a scientist who states he or she has unequivocal proof that global warming is 1. a reality 2. caused by humans 3. that there is something we can do to stop it.

A 2003 poll found that two thirds of climate scientists in 27 countries say there is not enough scientific knowledge to make a reasonable assessment.

Solar scientists predict a cooling period by 2020.

      R. Timothy Patterson from a geoscience center in Canada said a cooling off period is likely soon and is far more detrimental to the earth than warming.
