Difference Between PN and LPN?

What is the different between a PN and LPN? I know one just has a diploma and one has a license but..is the pay different or anything to that extent different?

  1. There's no difference between them. A GPN is a graduate practical nurse that has not received their license. The pay is normally a couple of dollars lower than a LPN.

    A PN is just a practical nurse and LPN is a licensed practical nurse  = One in the same.  You can't be a practical nurse without a license, unless your a GPN (that hasn't taken the NCLEX yet).

    Some people just say PN instead of LPN. It means the same thing.
