Difference b/w Imine and Amine?

  1. In an amine the N is attached to a C via a single bond...eg ethylamine, CH3CH2NH2

    In an imine the N is attached via a double bond... eg R1R2C=NH

    (And to complete the picture a cyano group is triple-bonded, eg cyanobenzene, C6H5C:::N...cannot draw triple bond on this site, so visualize one between C and N.)
