  1. buy the platinum one it is much better quality trust me i know both

  2. quality and detail are the difference. You probably couldnt see small difference's on the webpage.

  3. in the ones i've seen, the main difference is the sponsors that are shown on the car.  the 1:64 #2 car says "lite" (for "miller lite") on the platinum version, and "kurt" for the kids version.

  4. According to RCCA there is a light platinum leaf coating that makes the finish more shiny. I have two 24th scale platinums from them and the difference is noticeable. Not sure about the 64th scale. Never seen one.

  5. I just compared the "Kids" #55 I bought for my wife with my "Platinum" #8.  The #55 has the chassis and interior in plain gray plastic -- seat, dash panel, everything is gray -- and the hood does not open.  The #8 has various chassis and interior details neatly handpainted in black, silver, or red, and the hood can be opened to look at the engine.

So if you're going to look at the thing closely, the Platinum is worth getting; if you're just going to set it on a shelf, Kids is probably good enough.

  6. Kids versions don't feature any Alcohol sponsors, so if you were gonna buy a Kasey Kahne car, it wouldn't have Bud on it, it would probably be replaced with Kasey's name or an Evernham Motorsports logo on the hood and sides.

  7. I have found out that the platinum version is more detailed and is made in a better quality. Versus the normal version where they are made with a simple quality and has slightly less detail. Also, i don't think that the beer sponsors have anything to do with it because i have seen both versions of the cars without the beer sponsor on it. But i have seen 1:64 scale cars for 7.99 that have the beer sponsors on them but are screwed onto a stand so you cant take it off the stand.
