Difference between 3-Pw and 3-Sw?

I am new to the golf game and am looking at a set of clubs. One set says 3-Pw and one says 3-Sw. What is the difference?

  1. The 3-SW has one more club in the set.  It includes a pitching wedge (PW) and a sand wedge (SW), where as the other set stops at PW.


  2. 3-Sw means that the Sand wedge is included in the set while it's not in the set that is 3-Pw.

  3. The set that says 3-pw has one less club that means 3 iron through pitching wedge. 3 -sw means 3 iron through sand wedge.

  4. Each of the answers you have already received are correct.With the trend today your 3 iron will probably be the most difficult club to use. One set has the sand wedge that  is a very useful club. So go for the set with the extra club.
