Difference between CA and MCA in conversation analysis.?

Question

Can someone explain to me the difference between Conversation Analysis and Membership Categorization Analysis?

I have a Discourse analysis text which talks about them but it's so in depth that I get a headache trying to understand it on a practical level.

I understand what Critical Discourse Analysis is because I've encountered that and used it before. But this is the first time I've had to work with CA and MCA and nothing out there seems to be written concisely!

I don't need it in laymens terms, I am a linguistics major, but I certainly don't want a 42 page explanation!!
