dart-smaller, use hand to throw, have a small board...

arow-BIGGER, use a bow to shoot, have a BIG target

  2. difference is in the length of shaft dart small arrow long.

  3. A dart is a small, narrow object with a sharp point which can be thrown or shot whereas an arrow is a long thin weapon which is sharp and pointed at one end  and which often has feathers at the other end.

The arrow is shot from a bow , but the dart is thrown by hand.

  4. I've yet to see someone arrow into the supermarket to "pick up a couple of things" yet people seem to dart in for the same!

  5. Dart is small sharp weapon, normally aimed at smaller targets and at shorter distance. Whereas an arrow is longer and is fired using a bow to travel a larger distance. Arrow causes more damage than a dart as it can penetrate much deeper into the target

  6. There really isn't much difference between the two...but darts are usually smaller than arrows; javelins and atlatl projectiles are sometimes called "darts", yet they are longer than arrows -- by at least 1 1/2 feet. They can both have a metal tip and fletching of some kind -- or not. They can be made of any durable, flexible, strong material which can be formed into a dowel (metal, wood, plastic, fibre-glass, etc).

Both can be thrown, shot from a bow, shot from a ballista, shot from a gun...but arrows are most commonly shot from a bow, where darts are most commonly thrown by hand.

And I actually have "arrowed" in to a store, just to pick up some bread and milk -- I knew exactly where I was going and went straight to it. :-)

  7. Dart: a small, pointed missile,. Arrow is big.

  8. Dart means: a light javelin, a rapid motion, the sting of a poisonous insect.

Arrow means: Pointed stick shot from a bow.

  9. dart is a small and narrow thing.......but arrow is a longer thing
