Question:

Difference between DVD-R and DVD+R?

I want to burn pictures to a CD but I don't know which of these to use. I've tried researching online but all I really get is technical jargon and I just basically need to know if one works better for pictures than the other because there's only a couple of dollars difference in price. Can someone explain me this is in plain English?

Thanks!

  1. I burn the cheapest one's I can find, makes no difference dvd-r or dvd+r

  2. DVD-R and DVD+R were originally launched as competing formats. If you bought a DVD-R burner you had to buy DVD-R discs, and so on.

However, all burners made now can burn to either type of media, so in practical terms it makes absolutely no difference which type you use. Just buy whichever is cheaper.
