Difference between Digital Camera and Digital Camcorder (recording on sd card)?

Question

I'm looking into buying a digital camcorder that uses flash memory recording video on an sd card (Sanyo Xacti CG6). is there actually an difference to using this for videos then jsut buying a regular digital camera and using it to record videos on the sd card? i dont think modern digital cameras have a limit to a videos length anymore and can zoom (cant they?) during the video as well. so is there any real reason to get the camcorder over the camera? thanks

i'm asking a question when your asking a question. i really don't know what to answer.. but i think their the same buy the digital camera.. but i think it's best if you need help you should really just talk to the people that work there (store).
